  2. Roasted avocado seeds ! Great for nut substitute and for dishes.

The reason it turns dark brown is because it has oxidized similar to tea leaves being dried.

  3. Well the avocado seed is very astringent (not easy to eat when someone never use to astringent before) which is very good for health (anything astringent is good for health to prevent diseases) however you can soak the seed in lemon juice first

  5. When we were young kids, mum used to throw in the durian seeds into the rice cooker while the rice were about cooked. Hmm... perhaps i will do same with these avocado seeds or maybe steam them before eating it. Hopefully 1 or 2 seeds a day will not be toxic.

  7. Is It Safe to Eat Avocado Seeds?

“Wait a minute,” some may say. “Aren’t fruit seeds toxic?” Well, fruit seeds from cherries, plums, and apricots contain the toxic chemical cyanide, and large quantities of these seeds can lead to vomiting, dizziness, and even death. But that is not the case with the avocado seed.

Avocado seeds contain tannins, which are mildly toxic; however, you would have to consume several before you’d notice any negative health effects. In a 2013 study published in the Scientific World Journal, researchers concluded that avocado seed extract was safe and it did not show any toxicity.

  8. Although the seeds are good, in 2019, they discovered that the brown husk / shell / skin around the seed has more antioxidants than the entire flesh of the seed. This is because the flesh of the seed is the child of the tree and the skin around that seed is to protect the seed - which is why it is filled with antibodies. @ 0:43 You brush the skin aside without mentioning how potent it is compared to the seeds you are processing. Keep the skin of those seeds because you can make it into a powder and drink it as a tea. Make sure you research for interactions and dosage if you are to consume the skin of the seed or even consume the seeds as a medicine. All things with a purpose and in moderation. Eg: A spoonful of some garden herbs might lower your blood pressure so much that you are unwell. So research for known dosage amounts and always start small and increase the dose gradually - this is because plants can have different levels of medicinal values due to soil, pH, hours of sun, water, and even Mycorrhiza can increase medicinal value due to enhanced feeding capability of the roots. So not all avocado seeds are the same. Some will be higher in X than others and some will be higher in Y than others. And no matter what supplement you consume - include black pepper as it increases the absorption rate of cells, that is why it is good to mix black pepper with things like Turmeric as you will get much more anti-inflammatory benefits than without the black pepper.

  9. While avocado seed contains a lot of great nutrients, it also contains toxins, and a lot of oxalate that can cause kidney stones. And, be careful, as feeding this to your pet or livestock can kill them.

  14. I heard many different opinions about avocados seeds. Some say it's not healthy and poisonous and some say it's good. Usually I'm easily convinced with the healthy food, but honestly not this one. We need more researches.
