Having a smooth Green Screen is very important to use it properly. Adjustments, clips, ribbons, and other methods are fine, but this tension provides the softest free wrinkle solution I know.

  2. Hi guy, how are you doing man?
I'm from Brazil and my English is not very good, but I really like your work and I'm really your fan.
I'm beginning to produce some things in After Effects and Adobe Premiere and I would like you to give a look at it and if you could give an opinion would be very important.

  3. How strange! My inventive mind devised a similar clip!! Same principle, but I used a 50mm office Bulldog clip with the 3mm paracord passing through one hole, and the button press was put on the OUTSIDE of the stand so that the cord loops around the stand. Tensioning the cord pulls the clip towards the frame. ** I didn't use elastic cord as I felt that would still allow the greenscreen to move as it stretched the elastic. (The one downside is that you need to put the gimos DOWN over the upright before putting the cross support on)

  5. Best Tip so far!

A topic I don't think you've touched yet is Rotoscope - I've recently been doing a lot of green / blue screen and got sick of losing small detail in the hair, so I'm now using a combination of roto and keying to gain back very fine edge detail.

  6. Oh my gosh, thank you so much for this. I've been trying the home-brew solutions, including clips and gaffers tape. I'm ordering those tensioners right now.

By the way, do you have any tips for cheap light stands ? (Like C-stand or any other light stands and flags ? Thanks :) )

  11. I have those. I found that they didn't work well holding onto the back drop. Now I know "You need to roll the back drop a few times to let the clamps bite" Ya that will work. Thanks -John

  14. I bought clips at the dollar store. I got 6 or 8 for about $1.25. Yes, the dollar store here rarely has anything for an actual dollar and your idea is better, but I am cheap and already wrinkled, so I'll stick with the clips for now.

  19. Well shucks. Those little doodads is a bunch more simple than using grandpa's suspenders. And a real big plus - we don't have to look at grandpa, running around, wearin' his pants down around his ankles anymore.
