Skincare For Men? Don't Be Ridiculous!

For many years skin care has been the sole protector of women. After all, men don't need it, do they?
As I went down for breakfast the other day, my wife rubbed my cheek lovingly.
'Your skin is so soft!' She said almost wondering. 'I really don't know how you manage it!'
Now my wife is a lovely woman, but she thinks that soft skin can only be achieved by using the amount of night cream, day cream, anti-wrinkle cream (not that she has anything else!), Protein creams and almost everything else. another cream that cosmetics companies can dream of.
She, like many other women, is convinced that many men have made an agreement with the Prince of Darkness in return for a face that is not only soft but free from spots and flaws. I might be marked for use as a bridge support filler or receive a good pair of concrete softeners from League For Chink Scratchy Chins for revealing the truth but I can't take it anymore: men actually use skincare products!
Over there. I did. What a relief to finally 'come out' (about men's skin, that is). The different thing about men's skin care and what women use is that men don't pay anywhere near them - and that's because men do something to their face every day that women never do. They shave.
Now I know women shave their feet and sometimes other unexplained bits. All of us know that. But they don't do it every day. So why does it make a difference?
Oh, well, the cat is out of the bag now so I can tell you everything. Shaving, when done daily, is a great exfoliation. A razor not only takes the stump off the chin and the cheeks of ordinary men, it also removes some old dermal cells. This tends to leave our pan soft and slippery - especially if you use (as more people today do) straight razors.
This is why - when we were newly designed - your everyday skin is as soft as a woman with enough cream to make a raspberry pavlova. The only problem is that it doesn't last. Therefore, there has been a tendency in recent years to increase the number of men to reach the bottle.
A skin care bottle for men, that is. I'm not sure I'm the first to say this truth about men's natural skin care methods - shaving - and certainly cosmetics intelligence companies have kept their ears well and truly stuck to the floor for years. So what do we have now? You get in one - cream for men.
Oh, they didn't call it 'cream'. It's too girly. It is called 'rejuvenating face cream'. or something equally cunning - it wouldn't have been done to call it a 'day cream'. or 'cool night cream', is it? It's done like this. After we took off all the tracks, in perfect fashion with some very sharp advantages, we smiled from the site with an incredible piece with a ball like a football and a six-pack made of a very large ball that showed it would be a good idea - Moisturize our skin!
And do you know what's worse about it? Yep. It works. Guess what I got for Christmas last year? Worse, what did I buy recently? Resistance, as I said, is futile.
The catalyst for male skincare culture is gathering momentum. We poor men, unfortunate victims of our own primitive but effective methods, have been sucked into mainstream skin care by forces beyond our comprehension. What happens in the good old days when men just wore good perfumes, honestly sweated and we all changed our stockings once a week even though they were unhappy? When boxers' shorts are the items worn by boxers and lotions after shaving are considered only suitable for summer wear?
