How to remove wrinkles from backdrops
Remove the wrinkles from your background without ironing. This quick, easy and inexpensive tool will make your video or photography background look great in just minutes.
A crisp background can add a level of professionalism to your video - but not if it wrinkles. I try to iron out my muslin background, but they are 6 feet x 9 feet and it's hard to iron something big on my ironing board.
I found this video on how to remove wrinkles with warm water spray, but I just ended up with a wet wrinkle background. Give it a try, it works for you!
I bought a travel steamer on Amazon and it's fast and easy! Just hold the frying pan on the hanger and roll it up and down. One note: this doesn't work if you have a vinyl background - this is for fabric / muslin. And you can also use this to improve your clothes before you shoot :-)

ReplyDeleteAny tips for polypropylene backdrops. They are made out of a recycled material evidently. I've never seen this type. Looks like muslin but it partially repels water. I tried to hose them down while hanging and no luck. Haven't tried steam but also wasn't sure if steam could damage them?
