ReplyDeleteHi ! So I just ordered mine after watching a video of yours about retanoids and that T one is prescription only and offered by curology. So thank you for the info ! I’m not getting it for acne really i get a pimple here and there but what I want it for is to help with acne scaring, redness, dark spots etc. I have a recent scar from a deep cyst wound from an ingrown hair that left a horrid hole in my face 😩. I’m very surprised how well I was able to get it to heal in past 2 months but it’s left a red scar that won’t be going away anytime soon likely leaving a permanent small scar. So I’m hoping the T retanoid helps in particular and I’m just learning now from this video that they have vitamin c that’s great I was actually looking at buying separate vitamin c products. Never used them before. So I’m happy I can get it in the curology to.

ReplyDeleteI received my first bottle this morning and it contains 0.009% Tretioin, 2% Tranexamic acid and 4% niancinamide. It was recommended that I only use it M-W-F to start with and work my way up to daily use. I don't have an issue with acne, but wrinkles and age spots. So I am excited to start and getting some positive results. Thank you Angie for keeping us older women informed and up to date on new things. I am in my early 50's and I am struggling the aging process, and dealing with grey hair. You are a God send Angie, thank you.

I signed up today and she got back to me in like 10minutes So excited to have my retin A again.. I am so glad I found your channel. I am 46 and have always took care of my skin but lately see more lines and am looking for more help. So I am glad you are posting. I ordered some The Ordinary products as well. Have you tried micro needling? I would be interested to see/hear on that.

ReplyDeleteAngie, I started with Curology after using Roc Retinol for years. They started me at a very very lose dose—0.01 of the tretinoin plus niacinimide and rosaleic avid. After a couple of months of seeing no real difference and no side effects, I asked if we could go a little higher. My provider said she can raise it 0.0125. Isn’t this way too low to get any results? Or are they starting me out extremely gradually? As everyone does, I really want to get the best results! What’s your opinion? Should I ask for a higher percentage tretinoin or use it this gradually and hope it works? (I do love how easy this delivery service is! Plus I’m a big fan of your channel! )

ReplyDeleteWell, I went ahead even though retin-a made my lips feel like they were dissolving. I added that in the comments section. My tretinoin is .009%. I hope that's enough to do something and I'm not wasting money. I haven't gotten mine yet.

I’ll be 40 this year and I’ve really started diving into the anti-aging area. She used to work for a Derm and even though she knows all about rx anti-aging products, she still recommended that I watch your video and order some Curology. Well, I did them in the opposite order but I’ve still gotten them both done! Only three days in but I can already tell a difference in my face in the morning. Not so oily. Thanks again for the great videos and experiences! 😃

I decided to give Curology a try! They recommended .01% trentinoin (which is fine for a beginner I assume), niacinimade and azelaic acid (sorry for the spelling errors). I have minor breakouts so they didn’t include anything for acne. My issue is mainly hyperpigmentation from old breakouts and some redness. I’m 35 so I want to start with anti-aging as well. I upgraded to get a cleanser and moisturizer as well. Has anyone tried those? I wonder how long the bottle will last me? I’ll be putting it on my face and neck.

I have turkey neck to the tune of a turkey that didn't work out the neck since conception! :) I need products to help with lifting. I know I really need to just do a neck lift but gosh do I hate the idea of being cut open :( What would you suggest? Thanks Angie!
